Shoe Cake

Special day looming on the horizon? Try a shoe cake, just one of the many beautiful cakes created at The Uncommon Cake located in Vancouver, BC. The shoe box is cake. The shoe is made of solid icing! Just beautiful!

And what do you cut a shoe cake with? A shoe cake server of course! This item is available at the Chicago Architecture Foundation shop.

What I do is kick them in the pants with a diamond buckled shoe!

I've made a lot of interesting cakes over the years, but never a shoe cake. But, I think I could design one if I had to! (Of course, it wouldn't be that professional looking, but it might taste better.)

A shoe cake - what a great idea! I'd never be able to make one though as my talent in the kitchen is absolutely non-existing. But it's a fun idea!

nzyme and soh: i did fix that link. it was something with the way i posted it at first. i could see it at first but the next day it was gone. i was not aware until your posts. i was at a diff computer..not at home..and i could not see it either. i looked at home and i could see it. thanks for both your posts

holly..i am sure you saw it after i fixed the problem. i would love to make that also. i do not think i can! looks complicated.

annie: you might be right about taste. i hear that with some wedding cakes... they look beautiful but they might not be the best tasting.

coolchig..i remember my days of non cooking when i first got out on my own. i invested in a lot of cook books and cooked only by recipes. they i got brave and began to venture out on my own. i had some disasters let me tell you...like an apple pie that came out like a giant biscuit with dried apples in the middle.
