As the head of the footwear company Clarks, Lance Clark makes plenty of soles. He has also proved he has a heart --and a soul-- with his philanthropic initiative, Soul of Africa. Clark designed a moccasin slide called the Khulani and taught South African villagers to make the handsewn footwear. The comfy moccasin was sold in South Africa and the UK, and more than $250,000 has been raised to build a orphanage for AIDS orphans in South Africa. The Khulani is available at Clarks stores nationwide, along with the Giyabonga moccasin; both styles are 49.99. Clarks will donate all profits to the care and support of the AIDS orphans. The shoes also are available online at www.zappos.com for $55.95 a pair.
What I do is kick them in the pants with a diamond buckled shoe!
