Shoe As Idea
AsI looked at all the beautiful images on his site, Shoes as Idea, his work reminded me a little of Andy Warhol and his lovely shoes. Don't you agree? Mark Schwartz seems to be an up and coming artist to keep an eye on. These are some of my favorites from his collection. I love this next one called "Too Blue." Some of the prints remind me also of Manolo Blahnik.

Mark Swartz also has practical everyday applications of his works. He features wall decor, wallpaper and prints for lamp shades and other home items. I thought that was really neat. I love this picture in the foyer. I need one for my foyer! This is from his "Works in Action" collection.
This next lamp shoes a shade patterned with shoes! You KNOW I want this. It would be perfect for my bedroom or the living room. For either one, it would be great!

Artwork as ridiculous as his shoes. He is not Roger Vivier and definitely not Manolo Blahnik. He does not create shoe fashion, at the most he tweeks creations.

Mark Schwartz artwork is amazing! The more I look at them, the more I love them. The color, style, sheer brillance... I want more.
This is a great artist to collect.
