Made for Walking? Not!

These shoes I bought about 2 weeks ago and have worn 3 times. I love them..absolutely I do. They are called Rebel by Matisse available just about anywhere. I recommend them to everyone. I get lots of compliments when I wear them. Now I don't know if they are still not broken in or if they are not made for walking but those pointy toes are killer after 2 hours of walking!

Last night for some halloween fun, I took dirty Fila and her best friend Jen on a Haunted Walking Ghost Tour! It started at 7:30 and we got done about 9:30 with the tour. It was cold so we were all bundled up in coats, hats, scarves and mittens. I debated before I left if I should wear tennis shoes. I decided to wear boots and I decided on the Rebels. Why? I do not know. I have about 3 pairs of hiking shoes/boots I could have worn. They would have been ideal. I had worn the Matisse to work and they had been comfortable all day so I just kept them on. Now the walking at work is just from my office to the copier or the fax machine. Not 2 hours of walking in the dark on uneven streets and ending up in a very dark cemetary with broken slate walkways between the tombstones and crypts.

We arrived at the tour gate at 7:15. There were so many people sceduled there were 4 tours being led at that time. They all left within 10 minutes of each other. We were the last tour to be called. The guides would come out of the darkness(most in costume), call out the names in theor tour and off they went. The guide we had came out go the darkness dressed in a black cape like the Phantom of the Opera, a white frilly shirt and a large walking staff topped with a large human skull. Just like this one only it was a real skull.

The adults on our group just looked at each other and smiled. The other 3 guides just had some sort of halloween hat on.. no garb. dirty Fila was freaked right away. She immediatley said she wanted to stay between me and Jen. I kind of laughed and said out loud so that all could hear, that if he is dressed like that we MUST have the best guide they have. He did his introductions and we were off. The first stop was a local church with a grave yard we could not get into. He told us the story of a ghost captured on film by a tourist about 9 years ago of a woman kneeling by a grave. The story was the woman had a stillborn child on June 10 and she died on June 16th hundreds of years ago. She comes back to tend to her child's grave. That was the image he showed us by flashlight. The picture that the tourist took some years ago. Her ghost kneeling by the grave of her child.

We walked on to a restaurant haunted on the 2nd floor by the old woman Zoe who used to own the house. She is an angry ghost who behaves like a poltegeitst-mad because her house is now a restaurant. The first floor is haunted by a dead dog that is buried inthe front yard. If you eat there, you can feel the dog brushing by your legs as you sit. After that it was on to the a haunted hotel, a very dark city park--with 15 minutes spent under a spooky old tree listening to how guests in local hotels have woken up to heads of dead people floating over them in the morning or next to their beds. dirty Fila was WAAAAY over the whole thing, but we had to travel on.

The final stop was the cemetary. We had to walk on graves. The slate walks were not there about 5 years ago. They moved head stones but not people to get the slate walk in. We had about 20 minutes in the very dark recesses of the cemetary with one flashlight that the guide had. He told us the true origin of the phrase "saved by the bell." It originated centuries ago when medical science was not what it is today. Many people who fell into comas may wake up in the crypt. After several people were discovered months later by the door of the crypt dead, apearently having woken up after coma, the practice of tying a bell on a long string to the dead person's wrist was adopted. The bells were outside the crypt and there was always a caretaker back them. When and if the person woke up, they would ring the bell and they were then dug up...saved by the bell. Our guide also showed us pictures of spirit orbs taken by other tourists in the same cemetary at the very spot were standing. I looked at dirty Fila and I could tell she was about to cry. I winked at her and told her it was just about over.

A few more tales of hauntings and he led us back out over the slate path, over many grave and out of the locked gate. Funny thing is, on our way out of the cemetary, there were some boys having a cookout IN the cemetary. We walked right by them. They had hotdogs, smores and were huddled around a small hibatchi grill. They were happy as clams to be grilling among the graves. Once our guide got us outside the gate, he asked us if we knew where we were. He was leaving us, he was not walking us back to where the tour started. We were about 3 blocks away. He gave us directions, disappeared back into the cemetary and pooof! into the darkness he vanished. This freaked dirty Fila out even more. He just left us at the cemetary!

Well, dirty Fila could not wait to get back to the car. Neither could I as my toes were cramped. We went to get something to eat and home we went. dirty Fila was terrified. She could not sleep, wanted to sleep with me, wanted the lights on...it was a rough night. She said she had nightmares of old woman Zoe chasing her and when she got close, she would go right through dirty Fila and would keep on running. She was a little better today. So are my feet. I still love my rebels. They are not made for walking. Here are some other lovely Matisse that you may want to consider if you decide to visit your local cemetary on a dark night with no flashlights for a ghost tour.

Changing Shoes

Work is not the same anymore. There have been so many staff changes. Some for the good. Seems like most of the nuts and crazies are moving on in a kid of mass exodus. There have been some losses though-people we did not want to go. I have lost wingtips! His last day was friday. My solemate is gone! He was my ally in all things. He got snapped up by another company altogether...not the same industry.

Classic court is out now on disability... for 2 years. I will miss her english wit! I will be drinking my pg tips in honor of her now.

Wannabe shoes resigned on friday. Let's all scream YAHOOOOOOO!!! Off she goes to the competition. But... she had no job yet. She only had 2 offers. She had not accepted anything yet. I would resign only AFTER the ink is dry! Good riddance. Let's hope those offers do not fall through!

Snakeskin is still there but may be moving. With all the staff leaving , the bigwigs will be moving people around. She may be going to where Wannabe was.

Finishing? Still there next o my office finishing everything! Still driving me crazy!

I will have to add some new characters to my sidebar. We have hired in and some of them are looney! We have some that are in different areas that may move to where I am. I just hope BTK does not come down. He is called BTK (yes...after the serial killer) because if anyone would be a killer or a child molester, he would be it. He even deals with kids in his private life...none of his own..but others. We are all afraid for them!

Our office is changing its shoes. So I guess we all must do the same!

Ghost with a Love For Shoes!

Hot Spot

Ghosts seem to have developed a fetish for shoes if things happening in a Cornwall shoe store are anything to go by.

The shoe store Chatham in Padstow, Cornwall, is reportedly being visited by ghosts who have a particular liking for a pair of brown deck shoes. Store assistants Helen Honey and Faye Chown have also apparently been left terrified by the spooky happenings. They have said that all the shoes on display are kept with one crossed over the other, except for the ones on the deck, which always end up side by side.

Initially both thought that the other was playing games, when much later 19-year-old Helen realised, the matter something much serious.

"I was standing at the counter when the top shelf of the display began wobbling, as though the shoes were trying to be picked up. Then the deck shoes jumped off the shelf completely and landed next to each other, just like we always found them. I screamed and ran out of the shop. It can't be a coincidence because we have tried jumping up and down by the shelf to see if it wobbles, but nothing moves," The Sun quoted Helen as saying.

She further said that she always had a ghostly feeling of being watched every time she locked the shop.

"You can feel someone is watching you. It's quite a tense feeling," she added.

The whole affair has come to such a pass that the store's owner John Walter called in Father Chris Malkinson to rid the place of ghosts. Father Malkinson who chanted prayers and sprinkled holy water said: "Sometimes there is evidence of a soul trapped between this world and the next. I am sure it will disappear over time."

But, inspite of such measures undertaken by Father Malkinson, the shoes kept on moving.

John is now contemplating for a full exorcism and believes the shop is haunted by a former owner, a butcher, who committed suicide in a nearby cattle shed in the 19th century.

Father Jeremy Dowling, the Church of England spokesman for Cornwall also said that they would look into the matter.

"We might now see if there is a case for a full exorcism," Father Jeremy Dowling was quoted as saying.

Also this is not the first time that the shop is apparently getting haunted. A former owner including a butcher said that his meat kept moving from one fridge to another.

"They had a real problem with legs of lamb," said John.Ghosts seem to have developed a fetish for shoes if things happening in a Cornwall shoe store are anything to go by.

Stop Identity Theft!

This is upsetting but I thought I should pass it along. Check you drivers license. Now you can see anyone’s Driver's License on the Internet, including your own! I just searched for mine and there it was… picture and all!! Thanks Homeland Security! Where are our rights? I definitely removed mine. I suggest you do the same. Go to the web site and check it out. Just enter your name, city and state to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove". This will remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement.

This is why it is so easy to steal someone’s identity!

Deck Shoes, Izod and Kelly Green

Belle Dress

Prep seems to be coming back in style. Why I am not quite sure. I remember when I was in college, prep was big! My favorite outfit was a kelly green corduroy skirt, a white blouse and a navy blue sweater , v neck, with kelly green trim around the sleeves and v neck line. To top it all off Iwore navy espadrilles. Izod was all the rage and dickies too. Jewelry was the add-a-bead necklace...gold beads or the cloisonette.

When you were not in espadrilles the only other shoe of choice was the topsider or deck shoes. I had several brown pair that I wore into the ground. I have not had a pair since college but I do want a pair now. They have a lot more colors to choose from. Cute! Might have to be a spring expedition to get a pair of two!

Shoes can also be found at Zappos!

Need some preppy clothes to go with those shoes? Try Lilly Pulitzer!
She will have you in puce and pink in no time!

I DO have a baby mama!

Guess the cat was let out of the bag! Janet Jackson is a mother! She has a daughter!

Janet Jackson and James DeBarge, who were briefly married in 1984, had a daughter together, DeBarge's brother Young DeBarge has claimed on a radio program. Young DeBarge said the child, named Renee and now 18, has been living with Rebbie Jackson, Janet's oldest sister. His comments lent support to reports that have circulated for years claiming Janet has a "secret" daughter, The Associated Press reported. The singer and James DeBarge were married in 1984, when she was just 18. The marriage was annulled a year later. Jackson, 39, secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. They separated in 1999. She is now dating Jermaine Dupri. Young DeBarge, 28, said he has recently finished an album.

David Lee Roth Replaces Howard Stern

David Lee Roth? Can we say-- I was so in lust with him back when the hit Just a Gigolo was out!
David Lee Roth and those red striped, skin tight spandex pants. Be still my heart. I love that video to this day!

HMMMMMM! Good!

Now of course he does not look like this today! Age has reared its ugly head.

Thank god that wild hair is gone. Sex appeal now? Not much. I guess I will have to bask in the memories of David in those red and white striped spandex pants!

While there is no real replacement for Howard Stern ( my man Howard), I guess David is going to try! Howard is leaving big shoes to fill.

MTV

He's fronted one of the biggest rock bands and he's saved the lives of New York residents as a paramedic with the city's ambulance service. What's next for "Diamond" David Lee Roth? Come January 3, he'll be taking his game to the morning airwaves as one of several celebrity talents recruited to replace satellite-bound shock jock Howard Stern.

Roth was a much-hyped mystery guest on Stern's nationwide radio show on Tuesday (October 25), where the rocker revealed his will be the voice greeting Stern regulars the morning of January 3 — at least in several of the markets comprising the self-proclaimed King of All Media's syndicated, 27-station kingdom, an empire Stern has spent decades building.

Roth — whose announcement ends months of rumors over just who'd be filling Stern's immense kicks — will take over in New York, Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Dallas and West Palm Beach, Florida. "You've built quite an empire here, and I'd like to think that they've saved it for the best guy," Roth told Stern. "It will be a very interesting adventure."

Stern, who joked that he should look into fronting Van Halen, surmised that Roth's move was a step down from his rock star stature. Stern also said he's "done what [he] needed to do here," and that he needed "freedom to speak about what I want, and I have to be free to do my type of comedy. I'm happy for you and I do wish you the best" (see " 'Howard Stern Show' To Air — Uncensored — On Satellite Radio In 2006 ").

"Putting together this morning radio network was the greatest pride of my life," Stern continued. "When they said I couldn't do it, I said 'You're all insane.' How do you not challenge the future? How do you not challenge this industry? I can't imagine why you would want to do it."

Roth, who said working in radio has been a lifelong aspiration, told Stern he was approached for the job in February. He's been living in New York's Lower East Side neighborhood for more than two years. "I'll be performing for more people in one morning than the Rolling Stones will in an entire summer," Roth exclaimed.

Infinity Broadcasting (which, like MTV, is owned by Viacom) had approached several big names to replace Stern, including Jon Stewart, Geraldo Rivera, Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Bonaduce. Along with news of Roth's appointment comes word that comedian and "Loveline" co-host Adam Carolla will take over for Stern in several West Coast markets, including Los Angeles, Seattle and Phoenix. Jimmy Kimmel, who co-hosted Comedy Central's "The Man Show" with Carolla, will serve as a creative consultant to Carolla's program and Infinity Broadcasting. DJ Rover, who helms the morning show for Cleveland's 92.3 Xtreme Radio has been tapped to replace Stern in Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, and Memphis.

Rosa Parks Dead at 92

Legendary shoes: She was a pair of legendary shoes.

Rosa Parks has been called the "mother of the civil rights movement" and one of the most important citizens of the 20th century. Mrs. Parks was a seamstress in Montgomery, Alabama when, in December of 1955, she refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white passenger. The bus driver had her arrested. She was tried and convicted of violating a local ordinance.

Her act sparked a citywide boycott of the bus system by blacks that lasted more than a year. The boycott raised an unknown clergyman named Martin Luther King, Jr., to national prominence and resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court decision outlawing segregation on city buses. Over the next four decades, she helped make her fellow Americans aware of the history of the civil rights struggle. This pioneer in the struggle for racial equality is the recipient of innumerable honors, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Nonviolent Peace Prize. She is a living symbol of courage and determination and an inspiration to freedom-loving people everywhere.

Mrs. Parks died at her home of natural causes, said Karen Morgan, a spokeswoman for U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich.

Girl in the Trunk

Karnival of Kidz

I was in first grade when this happened.

Back then times seemed safer or so it seemed. Children were left in cars when their parents went into stores and noone bothered them. They were safe until their parents returned. People were also able to leave doors and windows unlocked and nooone broke in or stole anything. Times were simpler then.

It was a saturday afternoon and my parents were in a local department store. If my brother and I had to stay in the car my parents parked near the front entrance just in case we had to get out in the event of an emergency and find them. We also had "stay in the car rules" we had to follow. The doors had to be locked at all times, the windows could only be 1/4 of the way down and if something bad happened to lay on the horn and keep blowing until help arrived.

That day it was just me in the car. Our car was in the 2nd space in front the store. There was an aisle there to cross to get into the store. I had been in the car sitting in the back seat for about 30 minutes or so. The owners of the car in the very first space right next to me came, got in and left. A short while later a light blue car pulled into that first space right next to me. I was in the first grade so I do not think I could really be seen as I sat in the back seat. I was not that tall. I was sitting still... just sitting. The man who got out of the light blue car was white and tall and had light colored hair. He looked around very strangely and stood at his door just looking for just a few minutes. The way he was looking around looked scary to me. He was not smiling and his face looked like a mask. I ducked down in the seat. I do not know why but I just knew it was the right thing to do. I did lift up just enough so I could see what he was doing.

That man then walked to the trunk of his car, opened it and lifted a little blond headed girl out of the trunk. She was wearing a dress and white sandals. She did not speak at all. She did not try to get away. He put her down on the pavement and they both walked into the store. I knew immediately that he had stolen that girl from someone and that she had been kidnapped. I was absolutely terrified because there was a monster parked right next to me. I was afraid to go into the store by myself for fear of bumping into him before I found my parents. I was also afraid to blow the horn and cause a commotion by his car. Supposed he came out before someone attended to me. I too might end up in the trunk of his car.

I decided to get off the seat and get onto the floor of the back seat and lay as flat and as still as possible. Before I did, I rolled my window all the way up and looked at every lock. I was locked in. I prayed for my parents to come out soon. I got on the floor and waited. And listened. Fear set in that he might look in the windows and see me crouched in a ball on the floor face down. I waited and listened. I do not know how long I waited but it seemed like forever.

I finally heard some footsteps but I did not know if it was my parents or the man in the car next to me. The footsteps I heard stopped near the back of the car where I was. It was the man and the girl. I held my breath so as not to make a sound. There was nothing but silence for a few minutes. He must have been looking around again. I heard the key in his trunk and the trunk opened. I heard the trunk close. He had to walk to the driver side of his car and his back would be to me for just a few seconds. I decided to look to see if the girl was with him and if he was putting her into the back seat. He was alone so I knew that little girl had been placed back in the trunk. I got back on the floor as when he got to the driver door, he would be facing our car and me to open the door and I had no intention of being seen.

I heard his door close and his car started up. He pulled out and was gone. I got up and watched his car leave. Once his car was out of site I got back on the floor. Who knew if he would be coming back or forgot something. I stayed there until my parents came back. I immediately told my mother what I saw and that we had to do something to maybe save that little girl.

My mother did not believe me. She thought my tale was just too much of a story to believe. I told her over and over that that little blond girl was removed from the trunk and placed back in and that I felt she had been in danger and was in fact a kidnapped child. What can a little child do when adults do not believe you? Nothing.

To this day I am haunted by the memories of that little blond girl being lifted out of the trunk and that man with the very stange look on his face. All my life I have said prayers for that little girl in the hopes she would be able to get to safety. I do not think she made it. That is the very sad thing. I do not think she made it.

Frightful Things

I was at my parents house earlier this week and I was confronted by what I fear the most....spiders. A large banana spider had set up home in 1 day and had a huge web hanging from the corner of their stoop. To me the only good spider is a dead one. I got in the house and told my father. He promptly set to killing. He gathered his killing tools. A broom and a can of Raid. I love Raid. It kills spiders! Thre minutes later, spider was dead and web was destroyed! I hope that spider rots in spider hell!

Last summer I was on my back patio and had a fearful run in with jumping spiders! First of all, I knew there were spiders out there as my plants had taken over like a jungle. I was going out there to cut stuff back from the patio. I wore a long sleeved shirt as my hands and arms would be near and on plants. I thought that was enough. It wasn't...soon I was in spider HELL!

A jumping spider was on a planter to the right of me. All of a sudden I felt something scurrying on my bare ankle. I looked down and it was a jumping spider. I freaked to say the least. I tried to kill it. I swatted at it with my gloved hand. It jumped back to the planter. OK good.. at least t it was not on me. I was sure all my comotion and shrieking had scared it. It was brave. Within a few seconds it jumped back to my ankle. I hopped and shrieked and swatted. It jumped to teh patio floor. I tried to stomp it. It jumped out of the way. No matter how hard I tried to kill it, it continued to jump back and forth to my ankles and legs.

Finally I was able to get it off of me long enough for me to get back in the house and get my can of Raid! I sprayed the patio floor and the planters. I do not know if I got the spider, but he did not jump on me anymore that day. Maybe the smell scared him away once and for all.

The worst experience with spiders happened about 2 years ago. I was staying at a Red Roof Inn and after I checked in, I noticed a large spider and web near the entrance way. I was unnerved! As I wlaked to my room, I looked up at the ceilings on the outside of the building and there were spiders and large webs everywhere. It was something out of a nightmare as when evening came, I could look out my window and see all the spiders dropping down to feed for the night. There were literally about 100 spiders. I counted.

The very next morning, I went to the gas staion near the hotel and spent about $8.00 for a can of Raid! $8.00...but it was worth it. I sprayed the outside of that hotel down. Wherever I had to walk, I sprayed. I killed all those spiders in that area. I sprayed so much Raid, I even got spiderman. I could not take the chance of a spider dropping down on my shoulder! I complained to management and within a day or 2 all the webs and spiders in other areas NOT near my room had been removed as well.

The frightful things never end this time of year! I had a horrible encounter this morning. Ihad a run in with a Pillsbury Biscuit can. Evey since I was a child I have had an extreme fear of these cans bursting open at any time. The package says use a spoon handle to pierce it open and when that happens all is well. The problem comes in when the just burst open on their own. This terrifies me. That low, soft, bursting pop noise! This morning when I unwrapped the package, it burst open on its' own. I of course jumped and had a terrible scare. I hate when that happens.

In that same vein..I also am fearful of balloons. That unexpecting popping in terrifying to me.

TupperWEAR Shoes for 2006

Let's not all jump on the band wagon at once. I am sure there will be plenty of these shoes (unsold) to go around. Tupperwear and Cynthia Rowley have teamed up to bring Tupperwear to the forefront of fashion. HMMMMM! I am not too sure about adding these ballet shoes to my collection. What about you? I'd say these are shoes gone mad!

Tupperware(R) TUP will come out of the kitchen and onto the runway to make its New York Fashion Week debut in the Spring 2006 Cynthia Rowley show. Rowley's collection, which will be unveiled Wednesday, September 14, at the Elizabeth Street Garden in Manhattan, will feature Tupperware-created fashion accessories.

Finding a perfect fit between her spring collection and the modern, innovative plastics that have been a hallmark of the American icon for over five decades, Rowley has found Tupperware to be inspirational and turned to the company to help create the unique accessories for the runway. For her image of models "floating down the runway," Rowley looked to Tupperware to bring to life her design for plastic-soled shoes, which will be worn by the models in the show. And in update of a sleek '60s look, Rowley has designed custom Tupperware headbands.

"Tupperware was so great in helping me realize my vision for spring 2006. I like to call it TupperWEAR!" said Rowley. "I was very impressed with their creative and artistic approach to design and the way they've reinvented the Tupperware brand."

A company that has continued to meet the ever-evolving consumer demands for more than 50 years, Tupperware believes the Cynthia Rowley partnership will take Tupperware from the forefront of food storage to the forefront of fashion.

Keeping on that same note, I will not be adding these duct tape boots to my collection either! Duct tape flip flops and slippers are available also!

Shoes Can Be Your Ghostbuster!

Are you haunted by ghosts? Horrified by things that go bump in the night? Feeling cold breezes or hearing ghostly whisperings? Your shoes can rid your house of ghosts. Here is how:

The Shoe Remedy for Ghosts

When you go to bed at night, set out the shoes you'll wear in the morning. Place them at the foot of your bed, on the floor, with one shoe pointing one way, and the other shoe pointing the opposite way. According to folklore, the ghosts get so confused by this, they leave after a few nights.

The Converse and the Lie

dirty Fila has been wanting a pair of Converse-Chucks- as she calls them for about 6 months. I have not bought her a pair because there were so many other pairs of athletic shoes she just had to have that I have bought...the Baby Phats, the other pair of Converse, Phat Farms, the Avias , the Filas (hence her name dirty Fila-she can't keep them clean) and the Nikes. She is not lacking for shoes at all. These were the sneakers I bought her last school year. This year when school opened she got just a new pair of avias. She can still wear all the other pairs she had from last year. She has kept them in very good condition. She rotates them so they have not worn out very much.

In her favorites on AOL she has the Converse website saved and she frequently visits looking at chucks and tells me about them. I have been hearing about then for 6 months. (LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA! LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA) Whenever we go to the mall she has to go to Journeys--a very hip hop kind of shoe store. Converse there cost about $76 a pair minimum! (I always look for a sale..I have yet to break down and buy her a pair at full price). Well, this past sunday after church, dirty Fila, my mother and I had lunch at Red Lobster and decided to go window shopping after. We went to the mall and dirty Fila saw a pair of chucks on sale. My mother decided she was going to get them for dirty Fila. dirty Fila also saw a pair of FUBU that she liked as well. The converse were a pair of high top pink ones. The shoes were three DIFFERENT pinks! Can we say loud and bright! Can we say hightops--loud and very pink! Do these even to begin to go with her school uniforms? No! Here are both of them.

Well, my mother asked the store to hold the pink ones and she would come back on today-monday to get them. Well, after work and school, we go to my mom's house to see if she did indeed go back to get the shoes. She had but she had also bought the Fubu's as well. After a bit of discussion it was revealed to me that dirty Fila had asked her nana for $69.00 last week for a pair of shoes --Converse--she had seen at Journeys. I did not know about this at all. My mom asked her if she had gotten any school shoes and dirty Fila told her no, then changed her story to one pair. Can we say little white lies! I was livid.

I explained to mom that she had gotten a brand new pair of Avias for school as well as pair of leather shoes for winter and a pair of skecher boots for when it really gets cold. In addition she still has black dress boots from last winter and all the tennis shoes from last school year. She has plenty of shoes and boots to wear.

Prior to us talking dirty Fila was a happy little clam! She was so pleased to see those pink shoes and was relacing them with some sort of complicated system. Well, I told her that since she had lied about not having any shoes my mother needed to take both those pairs of shoes back to the store. A lesson needed to be learned here. Why lie about the shoes? Maybe if you had no shoes or one pair and they were from last year, rundown and with holes..maybe there may be some way for me to see telling a lie to get new shoes... but to tell a lie when your closet is overrun with shoes...no! Those shoes needed to go back.

My mom decided that a stern lecture was in order. I agreed. dirty Fila was grilled for about 30 minutes on the benefits of trust and how priceless it is and the value of her spoken word. My mother "threatened" to take the shoes back. dirty Fila became a sad little child...no longer the happy little clam. I still think the shoes should go back to the store, but my mom did not agree with that in the end. (If I had bought those shoes they would have gone back and I would have made dirty Fila do the return.) In the end her nana said the thing she should have done was to just tell her she wanted the shoes and had been looking at them for 6 months. I guess after dirty Fila did not get the $60+ dollars she asked for (only because my mom wanted to check with me first and see if she could find more than one pair maybe on sale for $60+ dollars) she thought was never going to get those converse.

dirty Fila apologized and hoepfully she has learned a lesson about lying. Me? I still think the shoes need to go back to the store. dirty Fila is happy still. She plans to wear the pink pair on tomorrow with her school uniform! She has then rolled down just like these! All this drama for a pair of shoes. I remember when I was little Converse were the cheap bobo shoes. Now they are all retro and back in fashion. Here are some interesting pairs. There are many more.. in so many different colors.
